وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏- رضى الله عنه ‏- قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ ‏- صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏-{ مَنْ نَفَّسَ عَنْ مُؤْمِنٍ كُرْبَةً مِنْ كُرَبِ اَلدُّنْيَا, نَفَّسَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُ كُرْبَةً مِنْ كُرَبِ يَوْمِ اَلْقِيَامَةِ , وَمَنْ يَسَّرَ عَلَى مُعْسِرٍ, يَسَّرَ اَللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ فِي اَلدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ,
Abu Hurairah (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“If anyone relieves a Muslim believer from one of the hardships of this worldly life, Allah will relieve him of one of the hardships of the Day of Resurrection. If anyone makes it easy for the one who is indebted to him (while finding it difficult to repay), Allah will make it easy for him in this worldly life and in the Hereafter”

Imagine taking your first breath, but your lungs won’t open.

For most, the birth of a child is a time of celebration. But for the family of “Baby of Hasham,” born prematurely on November 30th, the joy was immediately replaced by fear. Instead of the warm embrace of his mother, this little boy was rushed directly into the chaotic world of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

He is tiny, he is fragile, and right now, he is fighting for every single heartbeat.

After his birth, his condition deteriorated rapidly. Within 12 hours, he was transferred to KPJ Puteri Specialist Hospital for intensive care under the supervision of Consultant Pediatrician & Neonatologist Dr. Ismail Haron.

The diagnosis is Severe Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS).
 

What does this mean?

His lungs are immature. They lack a crucial substance called “surfactant,” which prevents lungs from collapsing. Without it, his tiny lungs stick together like a deflated balloon every time he exhales.
Currently, he cannot breathe on his own. He is on fully assisted ventilation life support. The machine is doing the work that his body is not yet strong enough to do.
 

Why We Need You

The medical team is optimistic, but the road to recovery is long. His lungs need time to develop, and his body needs time to grow.

However, specialized NICU care is incredibly expensive. The attached medical report estimates the cost of his life-saving treatment to be between:

RM 80,000 – RM 100,000
