In the gentle heart of teaching and guiding young souls through the light of the Quran, Gaafar Saeed Al-Tamimi has dedicated his life to nurturing the future. As a Quran teacher, his modest earnings were always a testament to his devotion rather than his livelihood. Today, that same heart, which beat for the enlightenment of children, faces a dire challenge that requires our collective kindness.
A Tragic Turn
Following a devastating motorbike accident, Gaafar has been ensnared in the throes of a life-threatening situation. The joy of his teachings and the echo of his voice have been silenced by the severity of his injuries. The diagnosis is grave – a severe Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) with bilateral Intraventricular hemorrhage, a condition demanding urgent neurosurgery to save his life and give him a chance at recovery.
The cost of this critical operation is RM 30,000, a sum far beyond the reach of his humble earnings. Without this surgery, Gaafar’s condition threatens to deteriorate further, potentially robbing the world of a passionate teacher and leaving many young learners without their beloved mentor.
A Call to Kind Hearts
Today, we reach out to you from Altawasul Alinsani Malaysia, not just as a team who has witnessed the severity of Gaafar’s condition firsthand but as fellow human beings touched by his plight. “When I saw the difficult situation he is in, I wished I had the money for the operation to pay it at that time,” shared one of our team members, a sentiment that echoes our collective desire to help Gaafar overcome this ordeal.
