The Story Behind the Campaign
Omar’s family is facing a crisis beyond their ability.
Omar Mohammed Omar Al-Amoudi is the father of a refugee family
of six who have been living in Malaysia since 2018.
With very limited financial resources, the family has continued
to face the challenges of displacement and life away from home.
Today, however, they are confronting a far more difficult test:
their father and source of strength has been diagnosed with cancer.
Omar’s son is currently the family’s main breadwinner, but he
does not have permanent employment. He relies on temporary daily
work that is available only occasionally. His earnings are barely
enough to cover the family’s essential living expenses.
The cost of cancer treatment is completely beyond the family’s
financial capacity. They now depend on the generosity of donors
to help Omar receive the care he urgently needs.
Medical Condition
Omar urgently needs specialist cancer care.
Medical examinations and CT scans conducted at KPJ Kajang
Specialist Hospital identified a serious liver condition
requiring treatment and continued monitoring.
1
Primary Liver Cancer
Omar was diagnosed with Hepatocellular Carcinoma, a primary
form of liver cancer.
2
BCLC Stage B
His medical condition has been classified at BCLC Stage B,
requiring specialist assessment and treatment.
3
Multiple Liver Tumours
Medical imaging identified multiple tumours affecting both
lobes of Omar’s liver.
4
Elevated AFP Level
His AFP tumour marker was reported at approximately 6,000,
indicating the need for urgent medical attention.
Important: Treatment decisions and the final use of
medical funds will be based on the recommendations of Omar’s
healthcare providers and his evolving medical requirements.
