Fighting has returned to Yemen’s west coast. Families who fled with nothing are sleeping in the open — without food, shelter, or clean water.
Altawasul Alinsani Malaysia is launching an emergency multi-sectoral response for 200 of the worst-affected families, covering food, shelter, cooking and household items, hygiene and water trucking. A complete package for one family costs RM2,255.
A crisis that has just got sharply worse
The United Nations has warned that the situation in Yemen is changing fast after fighting resumed along the western coast, setting off a new wave of displacement in a country already worn down by years of conflict.
Families are leaving with only what they can carry. They arrive in host areas with no tent, no bedding, no cooking pot and no safe water — and the areas receiving them were already struggling to feed themselves.

On the figures. The project budget is denominated in US dollars (total USD 114,752). Ringgit amounts on this page are converted at USD 1 = RM 4.50, a buffered rate that absorbs exchange-rate movement and transfer costs. Donation prices for each package are rounded up to a clean figure; any difference stays within the same relief project. The full project budget converts to exactly RM516,384; this campaign’s fundraising goal is RM150,000.
