Yemen Relief program
Hunger and poverty continue to exhaust most of Yemen’s population of about 30.5 million, as the country approaches the eighth year of a bloody war that has created the world’s worst humanitarian crisis. The continuation of the war has exacerbated the humanitarian situation in an unprecedented way, amid repeated international warnings of a possible famine that threatens millions of Yemenis.
Yemen is on the brink of widespread famine threatening the lives of millions, yet funding for life-saving relief efforts is insufficient. Hundreds of thousands of Yemenis are starving to death in the world’s worst humanitarian crisis, but the scarcity of resources leaves aid agencies unable to meet needs and save lives.
From this perspective – as hunger threatens the lives of hundreds of thousands of Yemenis who lack the minimum standard of necessities for a decent life – We in AL-Tawasul take part in order to be a reason for saving many lives and relieving the children, displaced families and the affected people by the current war situation.
