After nearly a decade of unrelenting conflict, the humanitarian crisis in Yemen persists unabated. As we enter 2024, over half of the nation’s populace is in desperate need of humanitarian aid and protective services.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

This year, a staggering 18.2 million individuals require urgent humanitarian assistance and protection, with 17.6 million grappling with food and nutrition insecurity. The malnutrition epidemic in Yemen is especially alarming, with nearly half of all children under five suffering from moderate to severe stunting.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Many reside in flood-prone or hazardous areas, where food insecurity is rampant, and access to water, healthcare, and sanitation services is severely limited.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Yemen ranks among the world’s most water-scarce nations, with 15.3 million Yemenis\u2014more than half the population\u2014lacking access to sufficient, safe, and adequate water for personal and household needs, including drinking, cooking, and sanitation. These conditions create fertile ground for the rapid spread of bacterial diseases like cholera, posing significant risks to large swathes of the population.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
