{مَن فَطَّرَ صَائِمًا كَانَ لَهُ مِثُل أَجْرِِه, غَيْرَ َأنَّهُ لَا يَنْقُصُ مِن أَجْرِه الصَّائِمِ شَيئاً}
After nearly a decade of unrelenting conflict, the humanitarian crisis in Yemen persists unabated. As we enter 2024, over half of the nation’s populace is in desperate need of humanitarian aid and protective services.
This year, a staggering 18.2 million individuals require urgent humanitarian assistance and protection, with 17.6 million grappling with food and nutrition insecurity. The malnutrition epidemic in Yemen is especially alarming, with nearly half of all children under five suffering from moderate to severe stunting.
An estimated 4.5 million Yemenis remain internally displaced, many having endured multiple displacements since 2015, ranking Yemen among the top six countries globally facing internal displacement crises. These displaced persons endure years of exile, depleting their scant resources and enduring increasingly harsh conditions. Many reside in flood-prone or hazardous areas, where food insecurity is rampant, and access to water, healthcare, and sanitation services is severely limited.
Yemen ranks among the world’s most water-scarce nations, with 15.3 million Yemenis—more than half the population—lacking access to sufficient, safe, and adequate water for personal and household needs, including drinking, cooking, and sanitation. These conditions create fertile ground for the rapid spread of bacterial diseases like cholera, posing significant risks to large swathes of the population.
The campaign seeks to alleviate the suffering of vulnerable communities in Yemen by offering food baskets, iftar meals, water tanks, shelter (furnished tents), and Eid clothes.
Let’s grab the reward in this month of Ramadan by sharing happiness with them. Every bite of food through your donation means a lot to them.
